DNA makes up "Who We Are"! And with the advancement of DNA testing over the last "X" number of decades, a lot has changed and the researchers can tell us more about our background than even we, might want to know!
On this page we'll list, in a table type format, the information that has been shared with us by cousins, in our attempt to discover just how small this world really is and how much alike we all are. Our goal here is simply to allow each of us to make comparisons with distant cousins and see from where our ancestors migrated. Because of that, this is NOT going to be a database of searchable information, and we are NOT making any personal information available to visitors. We will ONLY be listing a record, with percentages of our makeup that is associated with a specific geographical region of the globe.
If you've had your DNA tested but have NOT shared it with our site, you can at least, go to the website of your DNA testing service and check your results. I used Ancestry.com and on their site, you can click on DNA, then in the drop down menu, select DNA Results Summary to see your geographical areas and percentages. Then, if you're interested in how you might be related with others who have had tests performed, click on DNA, then in the drop down menu, select DNA Matches. The results will show you names of individuals, how they might be related, and they are listed from the closest to the most distant. Once you get to the list of DNA Matches, you can click on the matched person's name and their DNA results will be shown. One of the sections (tab) is Ethnicity. Click on this tab and it will display the Geographical Region of the individual with their accompanying percentages. You can then compare them with yours to see how closely you match up.
