Will of Jno. Weigle

In the name of God Amen. ------ I John Wigal being of Moon Township Beaver County & State of Penn. being sick and weak in Body, but of sound Mind memory & understanding, praised be God for it, and Considering the Certainty of & the uncertainty of the Time there of, and to the end I may be better prepared to leave this world when ever it shall please God to call me hence, do therefore make & declare this my last will and Testament in manner following, that is to say ----

First and principally I commend my soul unto the Hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping for free pardon and remission of all my sins and enjoy everlasting happinys in the heavenly Kingdom through Jesus Christ my saviour; my Body I commit to the Earth at the discretion of My Executors herein after named ---- I will that all my Just Debts as shall be by me owing at my Death together with my funeral Ecpences and all Charges touching the proving of or otherwise Concerning this my Will, shall in the first place out of my personal Estate & effects be fully paid & satisfied, & from and after payment thereof and subject thereto then my will is that all the residue of my Goods Stock Chattells merchandizes and household furnature shall be impartially appraized & sold for the most it will bring, that the same shall be divided in to five equal shares after deduction one third of the whole amount whereof I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Barbara. The residue I give unto & bequeath unto and among my Children, Barbara, Elizabeth, Susanah, Sibe, Jane, share and share alike, and to be paid to those of Age at end of one year after my Death and on so as they arrive to age on day of marriage which shall first happen, An my will and meanning is that in case that any of my of my Children shall depart life before such Time as the part or portion of him her or them so dying, shall go and be equally divided among the survivors of them share and share alike if more than one, and to be paid to such survivors or survivor at the Time aforesaid. And I do will give and bequeath unto my son John my plantations so soon as he shall arrive to the age of twenty one years ---- Him paying to each of my Daughters so much as shall be thought reasonable by my Executors, & it is my will that my loving wife shall have, and I do give and bequeath unto my said wife the use and occupation of my plantations before mentioned so long as she remains my widow or John shall arive to age for the support and raising the children. I will, give and bequeath to my son John my Rifle Gun & to each of my Daughters walnut Boards as many as will make to each of them a Beauro and to John one Bench and set of Bench Tools and I make and ordain Daniel Wigal & Michael Baker Ececutors of this my last will and Testament. ---

Beaver County, Be it remembered that on the Sixth day of September A.D. 1820 Before me David Johnson Register for the probate of wills and granting letters of Administration for said County, personally came Michal Baker Esq. and Daniel Weigel who being Duly sworn did depose and say that they were personally present and heard and saw the Testator sign seal and declare the forgoing Instrument & writing as and for his last will & Testament, that at the time of so doing the said Testator was of sound mind memory & understanding according to the best of their knowledge observation & belief --- and that at the testators desire they signed the signed the same as witnesses.----
