Walker Jennings Weigel
Walker Jennings Weigel, known to all by "Jennings" or "Jenn",
was the eldest son of Henry B. Weigel and Anna
Armida Baker Weigel.
Jennings served in the US Navy during World War I, aboard the Battleship USS
Wisconsin. Little is known by the family about his service history or location
of duty other than the ship upon which he served.
Jennings married Jesse Belle Alexander on June 02, 1919. Together with
their children, they worked the homestead farm on the
Broadhead Road in Center Township, Pennsylvania and the name "Weigel's
Dairy" was established as a "fixture" in the Center Township and Monaca areas. This family
run business was a landmark on the Broadhead Road for many years.
