BROBECK / ANDERSON FAMILY PICNIC
2002
A Reunion of
Families and Friends
Saturday, July 20, 2002
There have been difficult times since last we were
together. The attack on our country,
personal losses of jobs, of loved ones, life changing experiences; all seem to
have visited more often than normal in this past year.
But, the life cycle continues with new births, with new families being
formed, old acquaintances being renewed and fresh hope being restored.
Perhaps not “…the best of times” but neither “…the worst of
times.”
This is an invitation to set aside the concerns of the moment and join
friends and family for an afternoon of time that soothes the soul.
It’s hoped you will come to this year’s picnic, which will be held
again at the Potter Township Municipal Park on Mowry Road.
To get there, go south on PA Route 18 past St. Joe Zinc Co., across
Raccoon Creek Bridge and take a left up Bauer Road.
At the top of the hill turn right onto Mowry Road.
The park is on the left.
Folks will be there most of the afternoon and evening, but if your heart
is in your belly, the covered-dish dinner will commence around 5:00 PM.
Bring your favorite platter, dish or tray to share.
For the little ones, the park’s playground seems better each year with
its array of slides, swings and space. And a lot of other like-minded kids there
will make the time fly. For the
“young in spirit” there are horseshoes, basketball nets, and probably,
volleyball.
Plan to be a part of the Year 2002 photo of attendees that will be taken
just before dinner. And sometime
following dinner, we will have raised a group of musicians to give us some light
entertainment and a chance to dance a step. That gives you the highlights.
If you have any more questions, or need more convincing to attend, call
Mary Anderson Weigel Brobeck at (724) 775-0706.
